Strange. Whenever I think 'German music' I see only No Angels' or Sarah Connor's idiotpop flashing before my eyes. Sometimes, I see also rather ugly Rammstein or power metal epigones like Blind Guardian, Helloween... Or absolutely tasteless Scooter... But I hardly can visualize myself good German music. I know there are Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk and many more, but they seem not enough to overcome my prejudices.OK, maybe it's me, who have a problem. Maybe I'm just a hidden germanophobe. However, I see a chance to change my unconcious point of view. It's Bohren & der Club of Gore who may turn everything upside down. Actually, they have everything they need to do it. They are dark. They are slow. They hypnotize. Play them on headphones, without distractions, and you'll get what I mean. If you still don't know: THEY ARE GOOD - that's what I mean.
One may call them 'The Masters of Monotony'. Well, I don't mind. Monotony is great. 'Constant Fear' is a clinical display of monotony's greatness. So, even if you are going to fall asleep with this song being played, rest assured: Bohren & der Club of Gore shall follow your dreams.
